Gareth Coetzer and Bradley Botha have been fishing down on the wharf at Raglan. Over a recent two week period they have landed some good fish including this 16 kg yellowtail kingfish - Seriola lalandi - and this big 82 kg eagle ray - Myliobatis tenuicaudatus.
Raglan is on the North Island's west coast about 45 minutes drive from Hamilton. Gareth and Brad used live mullet for bait to lure in these two beauties. According to some of the locals this big 16 kg kingi is heaviest they have seen taken at Raglan. Well done guys!
Special thanks to Gareth and Bradley for sharing their pictures.
