Ryton River on the road to Lake Selfe
View of road to Lake Selfe, Canterbury high country
Further up the road to Lake Selfe turns to shingle. Here it crosses a narrow bridge over the Ryton River which feeds in to Lake Coleridge to the left of picture. Behind the bridge Carriage Drive rises a steep 1055m, and on the right-hand side of the road Mt Hennah 1109m. Through the cap you can see the snow capped peck of Mt Ida 1695m, and the even taller Grey Range beyond. Grand country with magnificent views in every direction. Return to Lake Selfe
