A big salmon from Otago Harbour right near the center of the city of Dunedin. Some anglers are quite successful at catching salmon from the harbour with the aid of paravanes and downriggers. Salmon will readily take sprats caught from the wharf on sabiki jigs. Most salmon taken from the wharves are caught on sprats fished under a bobby float.
