Clutha River

Catching a salmon in the Clutha is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. The Clutha is both wide and long. Over 200 kilometres in length this wide body of water winds its way across the countryside. A variable salmon run. Details to follow!

Salmon can travel upstream only as far as the Roxburgh Dam and are caught there by anglers fishing with spinning gear later in the season after Christmas.
