In this final view of Barney's Rock taken from the main road, at low tide, you can see just how rough and rocky the shoreline is. This is an usually calm sea. There is good paua diving straight out from here and the grayfishing is pretty good too. The main species caught bottom fishing close to shore is sea perch. They don't put up much of a fight but are very good to eat. |
