Makarora Brown Trout

Ben Davies says, "I caught this big brown out of the Makarora. Thought it was a snag at first until he started flapping, landed him in about 10 minutes, all 8.5lbs of him."

Congratulations Ben. That is a very nice fish indeed. It looks to be a buttery green colour. For those who don't know where it is the Makarora River flows south into the northern end of Lake Wanaka. A very beautiful part of New Zealand.
